Position Summary

The Equipment and Event Delivery Driver is responsible for making multi-stop deliveries and pickups to businesses and residential customers in the Texarkana and surrounding areas. You will load and unload event and equipment rentals in box trucks, trailers, and/or flatbeds. This position is shared between our Event and Equipment divisions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Delivers and recovers event rentals and equipment at the customer site
• Loads and unloads a variety of rental inventory including tables, chairs, and other party rental items, and equipment and tools
• Maintains accurate delivery and pickup records
• Secures customer signature on contract, if not already signed
• Double checks delivered items to make sure customers receive exactly what they ordered
• Sets up/demonstrates rental equipment for customers
• Properly and safely operates a box truck, work trucks, and flatbeds
• Informs supervisor of difficulties with deliveries or pickups
• Informs management of new sales opportunities and job sites
• Provides friendly, professional delivery service to our customers’ homes and businesses
• Assists with filling orders
• Tests construction and event rental equipment
• Performs vehicle inspections daily, as well as checking gas, oil, and other fluid levels
• Operates a delivery vehicle safely in a variety of driving situations and conditions
• Upholds company safety standards and ensures appropriate procedures are followed
• Performs other duties as requested

Job Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• A high school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred but not required
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Attention to detail and safety
• Customer service orientation
• Professional and courteous
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and event rentals
• Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions

• Must be able to lift/move approximately 50-70 lbs
• Operates a vehicle in various driving conditions, including construction zones, urban, suburban, and rural traffic
• The role requires bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting
• Most work will be performed outside
• Frequent holding and grasping with hands when loading, unloading, and chaining down equipment
• Frequent use of hands and feet to operate equipment and transport vehicles

Schedule

Monday – Friday.
*Possible overtime/On-Call hours during the busy season
