Position Summary

As a Service Associate at Dot’s Rentals, you’ll be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment in a safe and efficient manner. You will work closely with the Mechanics and Shop Manager to achieve a quick turn over of equipment that is ready to rent.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs check-ins when equipment is returned to the shop
• Performs basic inspections and maintenance on equipment including changing oil and air filters, fluid checks,
• sharpening blades, tire rotations, and cleaning equipment
• Services equipment as required and avoid unnecessary down-time, ensure the proper working condition of equipment when leaving the shop
• Dismantles, reassemble, and rebuild equipment as needed
• Cleans and maintains the shop and yard, ensuring equipment is organized and accessible
• Assists with the loading and unloading of equipment for customers
• Supports the Mechanics and Shop Manager with various tasks
• Provides excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction
• Upholds company safety standards and ensure appropriate procedures are followed
• Performs other duties as requested

Job Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred but not required
• 0-1 years of experience in general labor or a shop environment preferred
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Basic mechanical knowledge is required
• Strong customer service, teamwork, and communication skills

Working Conditions

• Must be able to lift/move approximately 50-70 lbs
• Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Repetitive bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items
• Most work will be performed outside
• May have exposure to chemicals, including but not limited to gasoline, diesel fuel, propane, kerosene, and cleaning solvents

Schedule

Monday – Friday
*Possible overtime/On-Call hours during the busy season
