Position Summary

The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for generating new business, maintaining existing client relationships, and increasing sales within the assigned territory. This role involves meeting with clients, attending trade shows, participating in equipment training, and obtaining necessary certifications. This is a dynamic and growth-oriented position, offering the opportunity to grow alongside the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company sales goals and objectives.
  • Identify and qualify potential new accounts from existing customers, inactive or non-customer accounts, and competitor accounts.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers.
  • Attend annual tradeshows and represent Dot’s Rentals & Sales.
  • Participate in equipment training sessions and obtain required certifications.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in equipment rental or related industries.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory and attend events as required.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a goal-oriented mindset.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to obtain necessary certifications (Dot’s Rentals & Sales will provide training).

Working Conditions

  • This position involves regular travel within the assigned territory.
  • Work may be performed both indoors and outdoors, in varying weather conditions.
  • Attendance at annual tradeshows and training sessions is required.
  • Flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, depending on client needs and events.

Schedule

Monday – Friday. 

*Possible overtime/On-Call hours during the busy season
